Privacy Policy
How Haritha handles your personal data.
Who we are
Haritha is operated by Experiom India Pvt Ltd ("we", "us"). We provide an online marketplace where independent music teachers offer live lessons to students in India.
What we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, mobile, and — where you choose to provide them — date of birth and gender); your role (student, teacher, or academy) and profile content; bookings, enrolments, and lesson history; payments and wallet activity; support messages; and, only with your consent, anonymous analytics about how you use the site.
Why we use it
To create and secure your account; to run lessons, bookings, and payments; to match students with teachers; to provide support; to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations; and — with consent — to understand and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
Consent and your control
We rely on your consent for non-essential processing such as analytics cookies. You can accept or reject these when you first visit and change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect processing that already took place.
Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)
As a Data Principal you may request access to a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, request erasure where the law allows, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service — for example with the teacher you book, and with payment and infrastructure providers acting on our instructions — and where required by law. Providers are bound to protect your data and use it only for the agreed purpose.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Analytics data is kept for a limited period and then aggregated or deleted.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport, access controls, and a managed identity system — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
Where a learner is a minor, an account must be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who provides consent on the child's behalf as required by the DPDP Act.
Grievances
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact our Grievance Officer, Karamraj, using the details below. We aim to acknowledge and address requests within the timelines required by the DPDP Act.
